HAL8Y (Haley Meister) is a Chicago-based graphic designer with a focus on branding, typography, and publication. A Columbia College Chicago graduate, she creates designs that are playful, meaningful, and captivating.

More than just a designer, Haley is a passionate creative—whether it’s illustration, screen printing, knitting, or exploring new crafts, she embraces making and learning without limits. Graphic design is her core passion, and you can find her work and connect with her across platforms under the username HAL8Y.

Haley thrives on versatility and currently develops dynamic collateral for Atomic Hospitality’s eight distinct venues. Her past projects include designing elegant menus and cocktail books for Michelin-starred Esmé and branding for independent businesses and creatives such as AddyKnits.

Driven by exploration and collaboration, Haley believes design should be intentional and resonate deeply. With strong skills across Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects), Figma, and Web design, she brings concepts to life across print and digital platforms, balancing meticulous detail with out-of-the-box thinking.

Looking ahead, Haley is eager to transition into agency work to collaborate with like-minded creatives, learn from seasoned professionals, and continue growing as a designer.
